Dr Alexia Cox MRCVS
Alexia is a wonderful addition to our Veterinary team. She delights in working with animals and is a caring and dedicated veterinary surgeon. Alexia has been working in London since 2000. Her journey took her through Holland Park, Hampstead, Hyde Park, Putney and finally to Barnes when she joined our team in 2005.
Alexia qualified as a veterinary surgeon from l'Ecole Veterinaire de Lyon, France in 1994. She then worked in mixed practice for 2 years before heading to Australia. There she gained the Australian qualifications for overseas veterinarians and she worked for a small animal practice in Sydney for 2 years. It has surprised us how many fluent French speaking clients we have and we have only discovered this through Alexia's bilingual talent. This has also been extremely useful when we need to speak to vets in France about the very popular PETS passport scheme.
Alexia's areas of interests include internal medicine, dermatology and surgery. Alexia is a keen walker and she loves to take her Hungarian Vizsla called Laszo to Richmond Park. Whenever you see Alexia's little bicycle leaning outside the practice, she is working. It is our equivalent of the flag flying over Buckingham Palace!
Alexia works with us on the following days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
