We have separate hospital wards for cats and dogs. Both areas are kept at a comfortably warm temperature at all times. The hospital cages are of suitable sizes to accommodate our various patients and are scrupulously cleansed each day.
Comfortable dry bedding is provided to make the stay as pleasant as possible in these necessarily somewhat confined circumstances. Our nurses provide a great deal of TLC and do everything possible to make our patients feel at home, especially when recovery is longer after major surgery and extended illness.
Cats usually will settle quickly to this situation and will be quite content. Some dogs may not adjust so quickly and we try to return them to their own homes as quickly as it is safe to do so.
We encourage owners to visit their pets at convenient times when hospitalised for any length of time.
