The preparation room is the hub of the practice. This is where a thorough clinical examination is carried out prior to anaesthesia and where blood samples are taken for pre-operative information or for diagnostic purposes. Pre-medication is administered shortly after patients are admitted for procedures and will lead to sedation so that stress is reduced. Balanced pre-medication including pain relief will also significantly reduce the amount of anaesthetics used so that recovery is rapid and as comfortable as possible.
Our high power digital X-ray machine is ready whenever assessment of bone fractures or internal problems is required and results are immediately available for inspection on screen. Pictures can then be seen by clients and discussed with the veterinary surgeon
